Recently I took up a sport to fill the long hours of my hectic schedule during the day. It is ORIGAMI! I hope when you were reading that, you said ORIGAMI like it was the only way for the man who's try to stealing your purse with your precious pooch in it to stop attempting so.
I've folded a couple different things. One, a paper crane and two an Iris. The iris was so fragile (and ugly) that I was worried the light of the flash would compromise its beauty, thus, I did not photograph it. It sits in the top of my closet in a very dark shoe box.
But it's very therapeutic and there are some funny videos on YouTube on how to fold origami.
Here is a funny story that is true.
On our cruise, I did the splits. We were playing shuffle board, and the deck was very slippery. I think you know where it goes from here. It was my turn, and I knew that I was going to get a high score and show everyone my skilz. So, with all the strength I had in me, and with the help from the shuffle board spirit on the other side, I threw that puck all across the board. With my back leg directly in the air, and my front leg sprawled out in front of me, I went straight down into the splits. For probably 15 seconds, I sat there balling, still in the splits position. Never having been in this position before, I was not sure how to get out of it. So, I had to roll over, onto my back, still in the splits and then slowly put my legs where they belong. Still to this day, I have not recovered, literally. I can't stretch my left leg all the way, and everyone once and a while the pain returns. Uh what a dangerous game.

It is true she really did do the splits and bawl for a long time :)
We love you Laura. I am sorry the pictures are taking so long I love you :)
You are so silly--I understand your pain...not from doing the splits during shuffle board, but from wakeboarding--I hurt my neck 2 months ago, and it SSTILL hurts. ouch.
