The Bailout

My Dad wanted to know what the "thoughts of an 18 year old are on the bailout plan." Do I feel it directly hurts me? No. Do I feel any adverse affects from it? No. Do I see how it will help? No. So, here is what I do know or sort of know. I just read/attempted to read an article on Forbes.com about the bailout. I understood very little of it, including this. There is $700 billion dollars coming from someone somewhere and somehow that will save the economy. I'm a little skeptical. Money can't and doesn't fix everything. And even if it does fix anything, we know it can only be temporary before there is something else that goes wrong. And did you know there was a bailout for the Automotive industry as well? Not nearly as large as $700 billion, but GM, Ford and Chrysler and struggling as well. I think the question is who's next. Our banks are failing and now the auto industry is failing. So that's what I know. If anyone would like to write a "bailout for dummies" article I would be happy to read it. I can't seem to find one.
