Well, I just got a letter today from BYU-Improved, I mean Idaho. I was really excited to open it thinking, finally I will be accepted to the Fall Winter Track. Well, it was like I was opening a mission call. I skipped all the beginning "Dear Laura, we are pleased to inform you..." and got right to the important stuff. And there it was, in bold, "we are pleased to offer you admission to the Winter/Summer Track beginning Winter Semester. Classes for this semester begin January 8, 2009. Say what? I won't be starting college for 11 months!!! I was shocked and very angry at first but my feelings have now shifted. What High School Senior doesn't dream about taking a year off before they go to college to do whatever they want! Granted I will be working a lot, I will have no other responsibility! So, I have become very excited, and I have even started a list of things I want to do in the next eleven months. Anyone interested in coming is welcome to join me. All my friends will probably go to school in the fall, so I will need some buddies! Here is my to-do list:
1) Go to Chicago and see a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show
2) See New York City while I am there
3) Take a Cake Decorating Class
4) Possibly help out a party planner, like an "internship"
5) Knit and knit endless hats, gloves and scarves (I'll need them in Rexburg...)
6) Visit Boston again
7) Anyone up for Paris Fashion Week? (Sonnie....)
8) Go to as many garage sales and flea markets as my mom and I can find
9) It's probably about time I learn to wakeboard...
10) Get Healthy!
11) Have Sonnie teach me how to juggle
Anyway, I wont bore you. But I just thought I would leave you with some pictures of what I will experience in Rexburg. Well, never mind on that one. I just googled Rexburg, Idaho and there were pictures of the temple and bears. So, I think I will be going to Yellowstone and the temple a lot. But until then, I've got a pretty big to-do list to take care of.

wow Laura sounds like fun. Tell me how your visit to New York is while you are in Chicago? I can't wait for some visitors to Boston!
Okay, Laura I'm there!! And if not anything else, You will be my juggling apprentice--you will learn to juggle!! I know, all your dreams are now coming true
This is Ryan -- Awesome "to-do list" Laura...But one suggestion, who cares about New York when you have Laramie, WY only 2 and a half hours away....maybe you could go and ride a horse, go on a cattle drive and eat at the local bar and hang out with your favorite relatives...You are always welcome! Oh, and you could learn how to drive a stick shift too...you never know when you will have to take control of a run away big rig and need to use your mad stick shifting skills!
