The day of LOVE

Happy Valentines Day! On this day I celebrate my freedom to be single! No, I'm not one of those advocates for singles, but i do not mind being single. Too messy to be in a relationship. Anyway, Valentines Day is an excuse for people to be giddy at school and candy, cupcake and cookie parties in all of my classes. But this year was a little different; for key club we are raising money for The Children of the Wilderness foundation, they raise money to buy textbooks for schools in Africa. So, one of the projects we decided to do for the charity is have a bake sale today on Valentines Day. All of the club members made a dozen of something that was decorated for Valentines Day and we sold the goods during all of the lunches. I was of course expecting an unrealistic amount of money (several hundred), but we did make a respectable 70ish dollars. It was really fun, and felt good to make money for a good cause on Valentines day. Then, Celeste and I were walking to the parking lot and this girl we didn't even know said, "hey I brought was to many Valentines, and I have so many left over. Would you like some?" Celeste and I of course took some, and she gave us some awesome little goody bag of really great chocolate. Isn't that what Valentines Day is all about? Spreading love to people you don't even know. So, for all of you are single, which is basically me because everyone who reads this is married, spread the love to people you don't know, and you'll have no regrets about your karma!
