All State Orchestra
Last night was my All-State orchestra concert. I spent the weekend in Boulder with my mom since Thursday. We rehearsed ALL DAY Friday for literally ten hours. It was a super long day, but so worth it because...not to brag...but we sounded incredible last night. We played Leonard Bernstein's Candide Overture, James Grant House of Mirrors (super strange) and Howard Hanson's Romantic Symphony No. 2. Last year, I was second to last chair in the philharmonic orchestra, and this year I was second to last chair in the Symphony group. So, regardless of my bad chair placement I was really happy with myself because I made the top orchestra! Anyway, the music was so exciting to play. I ordered a CD of our concert,a nd when i get it I will post some clips...for those of you who want to listen, but I don't know if any of you are too anxious.

laura was amazing as she played the viola in the all-state orchestra, it's like the olympics of music, it's just an honor to have been selected to participate, doesn't matter what chair you are assigned to. she worked so hard to prepare and the entire orchestra sounded perfect. i am soooo proud of you.
love, mom
Way to go Laura! You are awesome!! I can't wait to hear the clips!
