NAKED MAN SPLASHES IN PALACE MOAT

I read this article in the paper today by Mari Yamaguchi, and here is my summary.

In Tokyo a crazy Westerner went skinny-dipping in a moat surrounding the Imperial Palace. When police notice what was going on after spotting a large crowd surrounding the moat, they got in a row boat and began pursuing the naked man. Can you say "Row row row your boat?" For about an hour they had no luck. So, they began chasing him with a stick (I'm not making this up!). After another grueling hour of chasing the nude man, he finally exited the pool. Out of fear Emperor Akihito would see the nude bather, he was quickly escorted to a secure underground location. It is ancient legend that if the Emperor sees anyone nude besides himself or his wife he turns into a ball of wax. (ok...that I did make up...) After he exited the pool, the man scaled a stone wall. Standing below looking at the crack of dawn, police were ready open armed to catch the man. And they did just that. Emperor Akihito was then returned to the palace after a ritual was performed to make him temporarily blind, just in case the nude man was still running about.
