I wasn't at my best

Today wasn't the best day I've ever had. And I was really glad when my Dad got home because he was ready to do something fun. Not that I didn't enjoy quilting with you mom...

We wanted to see the leaves, go on a walk or something and my dad suggested we go to Chatfield State Park and go on a walk. So we did...well, we didn't really go on a walk. We went to the Chatfield Aerodome and watched the radio control airplanes. It was very pleasant with the smell of campfire lingering from nearby and the cool air that has finally arrived.

As we were leaving we happened to see some Elk! I was shocked. Not that I haven't seen elk before, but because I had never seen Elk at Chatfield. I was surprised to see them there. There were four female, and we knew the buck was somewhere around but we've seen enough buck elk in our lives.

So then we were really hungry and we decided to go to Bud's Bar. Best hamburger...well, Ted's Montana Grill is hard to beat...but these hamburgers are superb! Better yet, they were only $3.50! Can't beat that. This place is simple. Burgers and chips, that's it. No french fries and all you get is onion and pickle. But hey, that's all you need! These really are delicious burgers. For all three of us, it was under $15. Not bad for our family.

Here's a picture of what you get. Chips and the burger. The bar is in Sedalia kind of out of the way. It may take some gas money, but it sure is worth it.
