Shopping 101

I found the key(s) to shopping on a budget.

1)  Shop at Mile High Thrift Store (best Thrift store in Denver!)
2) Clip those coupons!
3) Find the most incompetent employee and get in their lane

I was at Jo-Ann's today, and I was buying some yarn. I noticed a $3.00 magazine, and on the back were coupons.  Two 50% off coupons, two 40% off coupons and two 30% off coupons.  I decided I wanted to buy the magazine, and I figured I would not be able to use them until the next time I came to the store.  Then the employee asked me if I wanted to use them? Who wouldn't use these coupons!  I was buying yarn that was $6-$8 a skein, so of course I wanted to use them.  I thought I would only be able to use one, so I picked to 50% one.  Then the employee asked if I wanted to use any others?  I was reading the fine print that said "limit one coupon per customer per transaction" as she asked the question, and then the devil on my left shoulder was saying "ha ha sucker! Use 'em!"  So I did.  I used four coupons, and saved about $12 accounting for the purchase of the magazine.  Now that I've written about it, I do feel kind of bad.  But, at the same time, she was just trying to provide me with the best shopping experience possible, and I didn't want to deny her or myself of that.
