ONLY in Granby

Wow, it is always interesting when you come up here, but when you come up here for a little longer then Friday and Saturday, of course you see some more wierd and wierd things. It all began this morning when mom and I went on a hike; 7.2 miles to be specific. As we were getting out of the car, next to us was a white volvo. If it had been in better shape, it would have been my dream car. Old station wagon type, not sure what year, but probably early 90's. I'm sure Melissa would agree with me on that one. Anyway, of all things on top of his car on the hood of the car was...a cactus. This was no ordinary cactus too. It was straggly, bony if a cactus can be bony, and just not in good shape. As I further pondered on the mysterious man with the cactus on his hood, I realized he was probably some granola guy on a backpacking trip up to Lake Nanita, which was a little further then where we hiked to. Heaven forbid his cactus die a slow and miserable death in his Volvo! So, he was probably "sunning" it. And boy did it need sun! As we continued the investigation, I realized there was also an alarm clock on the dashboard, a strange one too, and a huge stinking machette. Once I saw that, I wasn't sure I wanted to continue on the same trail as the machette hauling, cactus sunning granola man. But we did. It was a good trail to! Once we get back into town I will post pictures. Peace out city folk! Enjoy the modern convenience of wireless internet while you can.

yes I still love Volvos. But I am not a fan of machetes what an interesting combination. I just did yoga and I am really sore.

That is quite the event, let me tell you. I think, however, that the cactus was actually an aloe vera plant. At least it kind of looks like it. In which case, that would be for any cuts he may have had on his hike. My mother had an aloe vera plant and would break off a branch/leaf/THING, and put the inside goo on our burns and such. It helped quite a bit. That's what I'm thinking it is.
And by the way, I dig the Volvo, too.
