Spinning...I don't think So
For those of you who are religious blog readers of my blog, you remember my blog entry a couple weeks ago about the Turbo Kick Boxing Class I took at 24 Hour Fitness. Well, the other class I've really wanted to try is the spinning class, so I went to it tonight. I was supposed to stay on that bike from 6:00-7:00. I made it to 6:45. I was warned by a lot of people how difficult this would be, but no warning could prepare me for the pain I felt "between my legs" from the seat...I think you all know what I'm talking about. If it wasn't for the pain from the seat, I would have been able to focus A LOT better and probably stay longer. The other issue, I think I have really flat feet like my mom, so my feet did not appreciate standing on them. yes, I was able to stand on the bike for a few hills, but I did have to sit some. THe class is a really cool experience; they turn of all the bright fluorescent lighting and turn on these blue "mood" lights that are dim, so the class is really relaxing. The music isn't Usher, and 50 Cent or anything crazy like that either, it is U2 and Train, all that. So it was nice because it is really helpful to focus and concentrate. So, anyway, I think I will wait a little while before I do my next spinning class. I am going to take a Boxing Boot Camp class tomorrow, and I get to wear boxing gloves and use a punching bag; I do much better with things like that, especially when there is no crotch pain involved.

Okay, Laura, Your blog posts are hillarious...especially this one!! You are so funny! So, I guess spinning is not for you then! Maybe it will take a few tries before you get use to it!
spinning is super tough and the ladies who go are supper intense. I bet they all had the special clip in shoes. well congrats for going and lasting 45 minutes that is really good! Don't worry you will become immune to the crotch pain.
