For years, cars have been outlawed from the Brown garage. Our garage has been filled with beautiful secretaries (the furniture type, come on guys, know your furniture!), clothespins, endless iron planter things and a bajillion red wooden kids chairs; there has been no room for what belongs in a garage. No room for cars. The cars sat on our driveway and in our cul-de-sac like a parking lot. No, more like a yard for towed cars. At one point, we had 4 cars out there when there were only 3 people living at home that could drive. So I think you get my point.
But (drum roll please) now we can successfully fit a single car in our three car garage. I figure it's good we didn't move all three in at once because A) we never will, and B) this gives us something to work towards, having maybe one more car in there.
Now when I come home, I think, oh bummer my Mommy is gone :.( Then I open the garage, and I see her car and I am always so relieved. So, if you come by and think no one is home because you are used to seeing 80 cars in front of the house, there is hope that my mother's car is in the garage.
Now I know for a lot of you this is hard to believe, so I've included pictures.
Oh, I also took a picture of my Dad mowing the lawn. He didn't really know what was going on, but the expression on his face is priceless. IF you zoom in on the picture, you'll get an even better look.

I never thought I would see the day. In fact I never really believed the post until I saw the pictures of the mini van in the garage. I am guessing dad's suburban still doesn't fit. That will be the day. The picture of dad is classic...you really caught him off guard. I can't wait to see you guys in December. I am going to have our tree all ready and your Christmas presents and we will sing Christmas songs and make ginger bread houses and so on...
I'm loving the face, Brother Brown. I think that would be my reaction to someone taking my picture while I was mowing the lawn, too, so don't worry. But I'm proud of you all for cleaning out the garage. Did you just shuffle things around a bit, or did some of that furniture actually move into the house? Or did it go bye-bye? I hope not. It's all nice. Anyway, congrats.
Way to go, surly this is one of the signs of the times. I'm gonna go prepare for the 2nd Coming!
